So the search goes on for our first win of the season as we welcome reigning champions Pontypridd to the Gnoll this Saturday (2:30pm).
Firstly, congratulations to Cameron Morris, who was chosen as the Neath Rugby Supporters Club Man of the Match at last week’s game with Bridgend. We’re sure it will be the first of many such awards he picks up. We give a man of the match award at every home game, and if any supporters club member wants the opportunity to choose their man of the match and then present the commemorative plaque at the end of the game, then just let us know.
We mentioned in last week’s column how already this season we have donated over £2000 worth of equipment to the squad, including an array of fitness equipment and drinks bottles. We are in constant dialogue with team management regarding future purchases.
However, those future purchases will only possible with your on-going support. By becoming a member, supporting our initiatives and attending events you can ensure that as much money as possible is raised for the squad – every penny we make is ploughed directly back in to the team.
If you haven’t joined yet and wish to do so then please come and see us. Membership is open to all and costs just £10 for the season. You can sign up by visiting our table in the clubhouse on matchdays. Members will receive a free gift as well as discounted rates to attend our events and functions throughout the season.
Remember, the supporters club belongs to its members. Therefore if any member has any ideas how we can improve the club, what activities or events you’d like to see us stage or suggestions for what to donate to the squad, then please do come and speak to us.
Good luck to the boys, and let’s cheer them on to victory this weekend.
