Confirmation has come today that our game at home to Pontypridd on Saturday has been postponed. The postponement comes as a result of the sudden death of Pontypridd prop Stuart Williams, who died on Monday.
Stuart Williams had played for Pontypridd in every season of the new semi-professional era. A feat matched by few other players. Tragically, he was also a cousin of Gareth Snid Jones, who Neath fans will need no reminding also died in tragic circumstances 5 years ago. He leaves behind a wife and two young children.
You can read Pontypridd’s tribute to him here.
It goes without saying that the sympathies of everyone at Neath Rugby Supporters Club are with Stuart’s family, friends and team mates.
