Swansea at the Gnoll

Neath Rugby Supporters ClubFollowing on from last week’s disappointing defeat to Llanelli, it’s Swansea’s turn to make the short trip to the Gnoll this weekend (albeit on the slightly unusual day of Sunday).

The reason of course for the 24 hour delay in kick off is that the game will be shown live on S4C.

Of course having the game covered live on TV is something of a double edged sword.  There’s no doubt that the altered kick off time and the lure of watching the game from the warm comfort of the armchair will put some people off from coming through the turnstiles.  However, on the positive side, live TV coverage will give some well-deserved publicity to our sponsors plus it gives the players the chance to showcase themselves to the nation and a good showing today might just tempt some of those stay at home fans out of their armchairs and back on to the terraces.

Even though the game is on TV, don’t take the easy option of sitting at home with your feet up.  Please make the effort to come to the Gnoll to cheer on and get behind the team.

We’ll be at the clubhouse again before and after tomorrow’s game.  So, if you still haven’t joined, collected your membership card or ordered your polo shirt then please come and do so tomorrow.
